From July 1, 2003, electrical explosion proof must comply with ATEX 94/9/EC concerning equipment and protective systems for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. For such electrical explosion proof must obtain the appropriate approvals and licenses. The tests should be performed by an official laboratory.
Ex Explosion Protection
From July 1, 2003, the European Directive ATEX 100a requires that non-electrical equipment for use in potentially explosive atmospheres ATEX compliance regulations. It also determines that in June 2006, all existing installations need to be adapted to the directive.
CONAU has designed a complete range of fans suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres according to ATEX. Can be used in a variety of environments such as petrochemical plants, grain silos and flour mills, in which there may be a potentially explosive atmosphere.
The explosion proof fans manufactured by CONAU are characterized by the use of non-sparking materials. Designed, manufactured and certified according especially to the European Directive ATEX 94/9/EC. Suitable for working in explosive atmospheres in which, for existing gases, vapors or dusts, there is a risk of fire or explosions.
Besides having the same characteristics of high resistance to corrosion standard marine fan, corresponds to the requirements established by the classified area where they will be installed.
Construction:
Plate surround, hot dip galvanized steel, fitted with flanges drilled on both sides. Housing are manufactured in long length covering the engine-helix (model V1AsM, V1ExM and V1AM) and short frame (model V1AsMC, V1ExMC and V1AMC) leaving exposed part of the engine.
The propeller has conductive properties or by anti-static paint or aluminum ring to prevent metal-metal sparks, etc. ATEX certificated motors and asynchronous, and three-phase squirrel-cage rotor, dynamically balanced and meet the latest European standards in power of 0.1 kw to 200 kw. All engines will be prepared to work in the marine environment and with adequate protection A CLASSIFIED AREA WHERE WILL SETTLE can be supplied in any of the following combinations: Spark resistants - Flameproof - Explosion proof.
Antichispas - Antideflagrantes - Antiexplosivos.

Optional accessories:
External wiring box: provide electrical wiring and fan maintenance and sanitation. All boxes and packing will be explosion-proof, IP-65.
Brackets: For fixing the floor or ceiling fan.
Shock Proof: bolt-on brackets are an optional element that isolates the vibrations of the fan to the supporting structure.
Mufflers: tubular-type and adapted to the diameter of the fan, are used to reduce the crude generated by ester and prevent its spread by different units of the boat.
Sleeve: part of coupling used for joining flexible ducts, is to prevent the transmission of vibrations to the pipeline network.
